- Under the Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy Mela, a total of 110 types of agricultural machinery are eligible for subsidy.
- Information about machinery wise subsidy can be obtained from the departmental website / District Agriculture Office / Block Agriculture Office / Agriculture Coordinator.
- There is a provision of more subsidies for farmers belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and extremely backward classes.
- To ensure openness and transparency in the implementation of the programme, online management has been done by the department.
- Approval letter (permit) will be issued after selecting the applicant through online lottery from the eligible applications received from farmers for agricultural machinery.
- Non-raiyat farmers (actual cultivators) who are registered on agricultural machinery with a subsidy of Rs 20,000 or less can also avail the benefit of the subsidy.
- A provision has been made for the farmer to select the match and model of the equipment and the supplier establishment himself.
- They will purchase as per their wish from the items listed by the Agriculture Department.
- Duly determined subsidy will be admissible on those machines.
Benefits available under Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy Mela 2024
Farmers will be given 40% to 80% subsidy on agricultural machinery. Under this, benefits will be given to farmers of all sections of the state. Under its SMAM scheme, a total of 09 types of agricultural machinery including small tractors are to be given subsidy to farmers.

Under this scheme, subsidy is given by the government on a total of 110 types of agricultural machinery. In which field ploughing, sowing, weeding, irrigation, harvesting, rosemary, etc. and agricultural equipment related to sugarcane and garden are also included. Under this, a provision of subsidy has been made for farmers on purchasing listed equipment from the vendors listed on OFMAS Portal.
Under the Centrally Sponsored Submission on Agricultural Mechanization Scheme (SMAM) 2023-24, a subsidy will be given for the establishment of agricultural machinery, custom hiring center, agricultural machinery bank and special custom hiring center at a total cost of Rs 6443.71 lakh (sixty four crore forty three lakh seventy one thousand).
